The Kingswood Institute of Applied Technology in Penrith, Sydney provides first-class training rooms for the construction industry. Metal ceiling systems were chosen for this new-build project. These satisfy the functional requirements while also providing a visually compelling design.

Various different expanded metal ceilings are being used in this building: black, blue and grey ceiling panels promote a good atmosphere for concentrated work in the classrooms and meeting rooms while light-grey shades in the public areas convey open-ness and a sense of spaciousness. The training rooms were equipped with lively yellow powder-coated expanded metal panels. The inconspicuous S1 slip-in system used in the corridors creates a visual sense of precision and of straight lines.

Outside the building, a special version the wind-proofed S7 EXTERIOR rail channel system blends seamlessly into the industrial design of the building while also complementing its modern architecture.

The result is architecture that perfectly blends functionality and aesthetics while also doing full justice to the requirements of students and tutorial staff.
